Not because they lied. Agreeing was the easiest way to keep the evening pleasant, and you walked away thinking the matter was settled. It was not settled. It was postponed, politely, by someone very good at postponing things politely.
Libra gets described as the nice one. Charming, fair, a little indecisive, allergic to conflict. Harmless.
Here is a detail almost nobody stops on. Every other sign in the zodiac is a living creature. A ram, a bull, twins, a crab, a lion, a maiden, a scorpion, an archer, a sea goat, a water bearer, a fish. Libra is the only one represented by an object.

2. The Scales Are Always Running

None of it shows on their face, because the measuring and the smiling are separate systems.
3. Their Indecision Is Not Weakness
This is one of the most misread traits in the zodiac.
A Libra who will not decide is usually a Libra who does not yet have enough information, and who has noticed that the pressure to decide right now is coming from you rather than from the situation.

Most people give their enemies less than they deserve. A Libra gives you exactly what you deserve, which is stranger.
You will get the credit you earned. You will also get the accounting for what you did, delivered in the same even tone.
There is no comfort in that kind of fairness. When someone hates you, you can dismiss their verdict. When someone measures you accurately and still reaches that conclusion, there is nowhere to put it.
6. You Will Be the One Who Looks Unreasonable
Watch how an argument with a Libra ends.
They stay level. They concede the small points generously. They repeat your position back so accurately that you feel obliged to be reasonable in return. Raise your voice even slightly, and you become the only person in the room who raised it.
None of that is a trick. Whoever keeps their composure ends up seeming like the reasonable one, and to almost everybody watching, calm reads as correct. For a long stretch of ancient sky watching, this part of the sky was not a separate sign. It belonged to Scorpio, and it was known as the Claws. The Romans separated it out and gave it a set of scales.
